Who qualifies for care of Bethesda?
· Patients of all ages with progressive, incurable diseases, as assessed by Bethesda.
 
Does Bethesda only care for patients with HIV/AIDS and cancer patients?
· No, care is extended to patients suffering from a multitude of progressive incurable diseases and is not limited to HIV/AIDS and Cancer.
 
Does CMSR support the bereaved?
· Palliative care extends to the family and close friends of the patient.
 
What do CMSR's services cost?
· Contributions enable CMSR to provide quality care for terminally ill patients, regardless of their ability to pay and also enable CMSR to provide grief counseling to the surviving family members at no cost. Should a patient have adequate medical cover, then their medical aid will be billed.
 
How can I support CMSR?
· By donating your time and skills as a volunteer or by making a financial contribution. People who have experienced care at CMSR often express their gratitude by remembering CMSR in their wills.
 
Are donations to CMSR tax deductible?
· Yes, CMSR is a tax-exempt, non-profit organization and donations can be tax deductible in terms of Section 18(A) of the Income Tax Act.
 
Where does CMSR get it's funding?
· CMSR relies on international grants, individuals, business, and industry and church donations.
